Les Fonts de l'Algar Costa Blanca The Algar Waterfalls - Callosa d'en Sarria

Situated near the village of Callosa d'en Sarria in the direction of Guadalest are Les Fonts de l'Algar - The Algar Waterfalls. A series of natural pools and waterfalls supplied by natural springs and surrounded by the characteristic reeds, bamboo and various types of vegetation common to the area.

The crystal clear refreshing waters may be bathed in and are suitable for the entire family, from the shallow lower pools to deeper blue pools higher upstream.

The waters may be followed to their summit passing paths to the Arboretum, a garden of natural Mediterranean spices, and the Museum of the Environment, where a collection of aromatic and medicinal herbs are to be found with perfumes and oils available to buy. At the top of the valley there are various facilities including rest areas, showers and toilets and barbeque areas.

Also nearby there are such attractions as a Railway Museum and the Algar Cactus Co. with a Water Museum planned for the future. All together providing a refreshing and relaxing day out.
